At Great River Machine Works, St Louis Park, Minnesota --right next to Minneapolis-- we take pride in being an old-fashioned machine shop, starting with the classic lathe and mill. We've recently upgraded to a much larger, more powerful, more accurate CNC machining center, however! We strive to be professional, responsive, and timely in everything we do, from answering the phone to custom machining your orders. MACHINE SHOP WORK

Here at Great River Machine Works, we consider ourselves a classic machine shop. Great River does custom machining and metalwork, as well as work with wood, plastics, and just about any other material. Nothing makes us happier than for a customer to bring a problem part in the door, and we send them out with a solution. Turned (lathe), milled (3 axis CNC milling) and ground parts are just some of what we can do, all to tight tolerance. Great River can also assist in solving mechanical engineering problems. WELDING

Great River is pleased to offer a variety of welding services. We have a Minnesota competition award-winning welder who can do MIG, TIG, and arc welding. Perhaps you are the inventor of a great new ab machine, or need a custom table or fixture built. If your project needs fabrication or welding, we can definitely help.

RAPID PROTOTYPING

A part that hasn't been made before is one of our favorite things to machine. We have great experience machining parts for mechanical engineers, product design gurus and inventors.
